About PortalCloud
A passion for technology, shared with the world.
Our Story
PortalCloud started as an unpaid, nightly passion project—a quiet space to dive deep into Cloud Architecture, Microservices, and the ever-evolving world of Artificial Intelligence. What began simply as a daily tech blog has steadily grown into a technical hub that connects architectural insights with a real-world network of professionals.
Emanuele Serrao
Founder, Blog Curator & Architectural TutorEmanuele is a passionate IT Engineer who graduated with honors (110/110 cum Laude) from the University of Rome Tor Vergata with a Master's degree in Information Technology. Over his career, he has built a strong foundation tackling complex problem-solving and designing mission-critical architectures for massive European entities, including public healthcare systems, energy giants, and national banking infrastructure.
Driven by a proactive desire to learn, Emanuele dedicates his free time to curating the PortalCloud blog. He loves exploring new technologies—from .NET Core and React to Docker and Cloud architectures—and breaking down complex paradigms to share with the community. At PortalCloud, he acts purely as the platform's visionary and technical mentor.
Infrastructure & Pure Hosting
PortalCloud provides high-performance, container-based infrastructure for applications developed within our network. Our hosting service is designed as a Pure Hosting (Unmanaged) solution.
- The "Host" Role: PortalCloud provides the computational resources, connectivity, and environment required to run custom applications.
- No Maintenance/Development: As a host provider, PortalCloud is not responsible for the maintenance, bug-fixing, or updates of the hosted software. Any issues regarding the application’s logic or code must be addressed directly to the independent developer who authored it.
- Self-Service Approach: Our infrastructure is provided "as is," focusing on reliability and scalability, allowing independent freelancers to deploy and manage their clients' solutions autonomously.
The PortalCloud Developer Network
While our blog is curated to share high-level knowledge and technical theory, the actual magic of our Solutions & Custom Development is driven entirely by the independent PortalCloud Developer Network.
We act as a free educational and networking hub. When you request a custom web app or hosting solution through PortalCloud, you are connected directly with trusted, independent freelance developers, DevOps engineers, and designers. PortalCloud does not act as a commercial broker or intermediary agency. All contracts, negotiations, and payments for development work are handled exclusively and directly between the client and the independent professional.
This hybrid approach allows PortalCloud to remain a community-driven platform while simultaneously facilitating top-tier, enterprise-grade solutions through a decentralized network of independent workers and a robust hosting infrastructure.
